Property Policies

Welcome to the Best Western Premier, the Central Hotel. The safety and well-being of our guests, team members, and this facility are extremely important to us. By checking-in to the hotel, you and your guests agree to comply with the following policies and any direction from the hotel staff. Any illegal activity (including the use of illegal substances) will be reported to local law enforcement and may result in eviction from the hotel without refund. We reserve the right to enter your guest room at any time for maintenance, safety, security or any other purpose, even if the “Privacy Please” sign is displayed on the guest room door.

Credit and Debit Card Payment

Upon check-in, there will be an authorization on your credit card in the amount of your room rate, including taxes, plus an additional $50 per night for incidentals (Maximum 5 nights).

We discourage the use of a debit card.  If you must use a debit card for payment, we suggest a credit card be provided at check-in, and your debit card presented at check-out to avoid unnecessary holds to your account. If you must use a debit card upon arrival, at check-in, an immediate deduction from your bank account in the amount of your room rate, including taxes, plus an additional $50 per night for incidentals will be initiated. The hotel is not responsible for any overdraft charges caused by your use of a debit card.

Cash Payment

The Best Western Premier, the Central Hotel requires a valid credit card, and proper identification, upon check-in for all guests.  The Central Hotel will gladly accept cash payment for all hotel charges upon check-out, prior to your departure from the hotel.  Should you pay with cash, any remaining authorizations on your credit card will be released by the property.

Smoking, E-cigarettes, and Marijuana

All forms of smoking, including vaping, e-cigarettes, and marijuana, are prohibited within the building. Any indication of a violation within the guest room, or public space, will result in a $250 charge, and you will be asked to leave the property. A minimum of $250 will be charged for damage to a guest room or if a room is left in need of excessive or specialized cleaning. The smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke is allowed only in designated outdoor smoking areas.

Outside Food and Beverage

With the exception of your guest room, outside food and beverages (including alcohol) are not permitted in the grand atrium, indoor swimming pool, banquet or meeting space, O’Reilly’s Taproom & Kitchen, or other public areas of the hotel, including guest corridors, without the prior written approval of the General Manager.

Noise Disturbances

It is our priority to provide our guests with relaxing accommodations. Therefore, we ask that you please be courteous of those who have joined you and others who are staying with us. To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests, the hotel enforces quiet hours between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. daily.

Exceeding the maximum occupancy of the guest room which you have rented at any time may result in eviction from the property for you, and your occupants, without refund. Upon receipt of a noise disturbance, the hotel will provide a final warning to the offending guest. Should the hotel receive a second noise disturbance from your guest room or occupants, you will be evicted from the property without refund.

Firearms

The Best Western Premier, the Central Hotel recognizes that guests or visitors may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes.  However; hotel premises are private property, and as such, firearms, ammunition, knives, and weapons of any kind are prohibited.

Guests who fail to abide by this policy will be reported to local law enforcement and may result in eviction from the hotel without refund. A blanket exception to the restrictions applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or to conceal-carry a firearm.

Early Arrival

Our Guest Service Representatives will do their very best to accommodate guest requests for early arrival prior to normal check-in time (3:00 p.m.).  Should you arrive to the hotel prior to 3:00 p.m., and your guest room is not yet ready, you are welcome to enjoy the hotel’s amenities while we perfect your guest room.  A guest service representative will notify you via telephone, or SMS, when your guest room is available.

Early Departure

Guests may depart the hotel prior to your original departure date without incurring a cancellation charge if you meet the requirements of the cancellation policy indicated in your confirmation email, or letter. Departure within the cancellation period indicated on your confirmation email or letter, will result in a cancellation fee in the amount of one night’s room and applicable taxes.

Late Departure

Should you wish to request a late check-out, please contact a Guest Service Representative via telephone, or SMS, prior to normal check-out time (11:00 a.m.). At that time, our team will let you know if a late check-out is available, as well as communicate any additional charges that will be applied to your guest room.

A 2:00 p.m. late check-out will result in an additional charge in the amount of one-half the current day’s guest room rate, including taxes. Checking out after 2:00 p.m. will result in a full night’s charge, including taxes. A request to extend your departure date is subject to the hotel’s availability and the room rate for any approved extension may be different from your current rate.

Reservation Cancellation

If your plans change and you need to cancel your reservation, our Guest Service Representatives be happy to assist you at (717) 561-2800.  A cancellation number will be provided to you for your records. Failure to cancel a reservation prior to the time indicated on your confirmation email or letter, will result in a cancellation fee in the amount of one night’s room and applicable taxes.

Pet Policy

Dogs are permitted to stay with their owners in our first-floor designated guest rooms. A maximum of two dogs may reside in one room at any time, and each animal must weigh less than 80 pounds. We will apply a non-refundable fee of $40 per night to your guest room. Pet owners must either cage their pet or remove their pet from the guest room prior to housekeeping entry.

If a pet were to cause a disturbance, the owner will be notified and must respond back to the hotel within 45 minutes of when the call was received. A minimum of $250 will be charged for damage to a guest room or if a room is left in need of excessive or specialized cleaning. A pet release form must be signed at registration.

Personal Belongings

The Best Western Premier, the Central Hotel is not responsible for loss or damage of belongings or property consistent with applicable law. Should you wish to report a lost item, please contact a Guest Service Representative via telephone, or SMS.

Adult Supervision

In an effort to support the complete safety, well-being, and security of our guests, any guest under the age of 14 must always be accompanied by an adult. Guests under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult, age 18 or older, to enter the swimming pool, fitness room, or O’Reilly’s Taproom & Kitchen. Guest room keys will not be issued to youth under the age of 18 at any time.

Hotel quiet hours are enforced between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. daily. There is no running, shouting, roughhousing, or horseplay throughout the hotel. Sporting equipment is not permitted in any public area of the hotel. Hotel facilities, including the indoor swimming pool, are reserved for use by registered hotel guests only.
