We would like to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to Jessica Dickey the Hotel Wedding Specialist/Coordinator. My husband and I worked with her for over a year to try and work out our perfect day. She went above and beyond in ensuring that our Wedding Day was PERFECT, and indeed it was nothing short of AMAZING. Her patience, her communication, and professionalism was something we truly appreciated because we had people coming from all over and being that we are Africans and do things a bit differently, she made sure to be very accommodative of our wants and needs as well. Our Guests enjoyed how perfectly planned everything was and we still have our family and friends talking about how great our wedding was till this day. All this would not have been as successful without Jessica’s help! 10/10 experience, would do it all over again with her.
Everything about this venue was amazing! – from the stunning area for the cocktail hour to the banquet room for the reception. All the staff was very helpful and accommodating especially Jessica (the wedding coordinator.) She was the best I’d ever seen. From the beginning to the end of the planning process she always went above and beyond. From her prompt email responses to answering the many questions I had during the planning process, Jessica always had great insight. We cannot thank her enough for what she did for us during the planning process but especially on the wedding day. She assembled centerpieces and the very large cookie display. She made the vision come to life perfectly. Her main goal was to make sure we had the best experience and were stress free. She most certainly delivered!! We had rave reviews from our guests all night long, complimenting the delicious food and beautiful atmosphere.
We had the most amazing wedding experience with the Central Hotel Harrisburg! We held our wedding cocktail hour & reception at the Hotel and many of our guests traveled to be with us and so we had many people lodging on site. Jessica, the wedding specialist we worked with throughout the process and on the day of, was phenomenal and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order and met our expectations (and really beyond!) — from display tables and food, to everything in between that made our wedding celebrations so wonderful. Cocktail hour in the main lobby area was perfect for gathering, and our reception was absolutely perfect in the ballrooms. The bridal party had our own hospitality room across from the ballroom with beverages and appetizers, and dedicated staff looking after us. My husband and I had staff looking after us directly all evening, which was so appreciated!!! The food was so delicious — all of our guests were raving about it the whole night and into the following day! We had carving stations and the buffet, which provided the perfect array of options for everyone. With many guests traveling from out of town to celebrate with us, having lodging on site (and not having to worry too much about folks driving after partying) was very important to us. The hotel staff was lovely and the rooms were so comfortable and clean! We even had guests becoming regulars at the connected O’Reilly’s over the weekend (which was convenient for late night drinks, breakfast, happy hour…). My husband and I highly recommend the Central Hotel Harrisburg to anyone in the Harrisburg area looking for a gorgeous venue, with top tier staff and service, especially if you have guests coming in from out of town! We could not have asked for a more beautiful and memorable wedding weekend!
The Best Western provided us with an amazing and memorable wedding. Jessica was great to work with. She communicated well, answered all of our questions and accommodated our needs. Mike, Jessica and the banquet staff did an amazing job setting up and decorating the ballroom. Everything was done perfectly. We were beyond pleased with the food both at cocktail hour and dinner. Our guest raved about their meals. Our maitre d Desmond was kind, professional and attentive. He made sure we had anything we needed all evening. You will not regret The Best Western for your wedding venue!
The service here was wonderful! Communication was top tier and everything was done with such grace! I can’t rave enough about this place! We have gotten so many compliments on our food as well! It was so good and it was steaming hot when it was served! The team that set everything up for us the day of was wonderful. Everything was done to perfection, even the clean up!
I cannot say enough good things about this venue and the people! The wedding coordinator, Jessica Dickey, went above and beyond for us from the moment we toured the hotel all the way up until a week after the wedding. She took so much stress off my plate and made the planning process a breeze when I didn’t know where to turn or what to do next. Our guests RAVED about the food, drinks, atmosphere and overall experience they had at The Central Hotel. Having cocktail hour in the lobby worked out perfectly and gave our guests a chance to run up to their rooms and change shoes which was a great bonus! When it came to decorating, the venue itself was so beautiful by itself that there wasn’t a ton of florals or decorations that needed to be added to make it look amazing. All our guests talked about how professional the staff were when it came to dinner service too! We had one guest who checked in, went to her room, and felt that she was farther than she would like to be from their room. She went to the front desk and simply asked if there was a quicker way to get to her room. The man working the front desk said “let me move you closer so you don’t have to walk as far to your room, it will be no trouble at all!” We were all so happy with the hospitality from everyone and just the all around professionalism. I hope one of our friends get married there because the next time we’re back won’t be soon enough! Thanks again to Jessica for all your amazing help and work!

DO NOT let the location or brick exterior fool you! Step inside and you will be drawn into a cozy and modern lobby that will immediately make you feel like you are home and wanting to hang out with some of your friends!
I had my wedding reception here in Aug, 2023. EVERY SINGLE interaction that I had with all employees at this hotel was fantastic! Our wedding director, Jessica Dickey, was unparalled in both professionalism and courtesy. She was an absolute gem to work with and really listened to the ideas that my husband and I had and did her best to make them become a reality. Jessica was diligent about reminding us when information was due to her and when our payments were due. She would email in advance to let us know that a payment was due and to confirm how we wanted to pay.
The food was scrumptious! We chose the buffet option and had chicken marsala, seasoned salmon, and cheese manicotti. Every single person that mentioned the meal told us how delicious the food was. We all know that this is a major feat to be able to please a larger crowd!! Highly recommend the duchess potatoes as one of the side options.
The service was wonderful! We had a small room during the cocktail hour for the bridal party. It had its own small buffet of hot and cold appetizers (they sent the leftovers to our room and they made for a delicious midnight snack!). The drink options were also varied (both alcoholic and non alcoholic). Our guests said that the cocktail hour was awesome!
The value we got for the amount that we paid was unbelieveable! Some other hotels had pricing where you would only receive a certain amount of hor d’ourves, you had to pay extra for a bridal room, pay to have an onsite coordinator, etc…. This hotel had very competitive pricing and no hidden charges. Everyone was incredibly gracious and kind!
The ballroom was gorgeous! The lighting was perfect. We had nice candles on all our tables. Perfect set up based on our requests.
Again, DO NOT overlook this hotel. Go in and walk around and meet with people. We are JUST THRILLED with how perfect our wedding reception was!
